2004, Jacobs Creek, St. Hugo, Coonawarra, Cabernet

Vintage Tested: 2004
Age Tested: 11 yrs

This wine was a dark deep and rich burgundy in colour with no visible oxidation. On the nose tangy red berries and blackcurrant dominated with leather and a notable alcohol. On the palate, this was a big wine, with leather, capsicum, and anise spice. Almost all pegged this wine as being younger than 2008, almost all were wrong. Such a youthful and punchy cabernet for 11 years old, will easily mature over another 10 years.
